Your adventure begins around 9:00 AM, after a hearty breakfast. Your friendly and knowledgeable guide will meet you at your guesthouse, ready to lead you on a thrilling 1-day jungle trek.

The ethical trek starts by following the Bahorok River, where you’ll be immersed in the lush beauty of the rainforest. As you walk deeper into the jungle, your guide will share fascinating stories and interesting facts about the diverse wildlife, plants, and insects you encounter—setting the stage for what’s to come.

A few hours into the trek, you’ll pause for a refreshing break, enjoying locally sourced fruits in what we like to call the “5-star Orangutan Jungle Café.” Here, you can relax and listen as your guide reveals more about the jungle and the magnificent orangutans that call it home.

Continuing through the dense, vibrant rainforest, keep your eyes peeled for amazing wildlife such as pig-tailed macaques, Thomas leaf monkeys, and the colorful Sumatran peacock. Each step brings you closer to the possibility of spotting wild orangutans swinging through the treetops.

At midday, you’ll stop for a delicious Indonesian lunch, complete with a refreshing fruit salad. After refueling, the trek takes you back to the Bahorok River, where you can cool off with a swim in its crystal-clear waters. The day ends with an exhilarating river rafting journey, returning you to Bukit Lawang in unforgettable style.
